DeLaval Parallel Parlours

In parallel milking parlours all cows stand in parallel to each other and milking only begins when each cow is in its stall. Milking at most takes a few minutes and the cows are released from parallel milking parlours at once.

DeLaval Herringbone Parlours

In a herringbone milking parlour, the milking machines are positioned in the middle - the 'spine' of the fish - between two aisles with room for the cows. The cows coming into the herringbone milking parlour line up between each 'fish bone', creating two rows of cows.

Parallel or Herringbone - DeLaval MidiLine™ can easily be fitted on new or existing milking parlours, for an economical and cost-effective swing over solution. You can add automation as you go.
